Came across this movie tonight. Had Amy Adams, Justin Timberlake, and Clint Eastwood. About an older baseball scout (Eastwood). Not a bad movie plus it has baseball in it. Others may want to see this if you are searching for a movie to watch.

I just remember being really annoyed whenever the trailers came on b/c they heavily relied on that stupid Phillip Phillips song Home and a bunch of cymbal rolls that sound like they were pulled right out of the moments from a reality show when shite "gets real".

It is an "ok" movie.

I actually like Justin Timberlake as an actor.

It was ok. Clint Eastwood plays himself again.

It's a good movie to watch when the gf wants a movie night. The baseball keeps you interested, and as one poster said above Timberlake is a good actor in a sense he doesn't have to force acting. Plus the gf gets her girly love interest aspect with Timberlake and Adams.

It's no For Love of the Game though.

If you're a baseball fan, you hate all the things they frick up. If you like good acting, you hate the cliche roles thrown at you non-stop. If you like a good story, you hate that you already know the ending before it get past 10 minutes. If you don't want to pay attention or think, it's fine.

I like how the Braves seem ok with embarrassing their #1 draft pick in front of the media.

Pretty accurate.

There are enough fun nuggets in the movie to make it watchable, but there are some really terrible moments to reduce the rating from good to ok.
I especially dislike the mound visit for support at the end.
