Simulcast on Comedy Central, so this just came on after I'd been watching The Office.

Big Black Panther themed opening with a couple jokes I got and a bunch I didn't.

It's on like 12 channels, even CMT is carrying it, and I'm still not watching that disaster of a program.

Used to be the best award show of the year, now it's a spectacle....

Will never forget its heyday though...

Like all things MTV related, I'm sure it peaked in the late 90's when I was in college and knew who all the "celebrities" were.

'Member in 1999 when Jim Carrey came out as an LSD zombie, and everyone thought it was an act and not a taste of things to come?

Carrey would be banned from Hollywood for his epic one liner that night had he sad it today. It's still incredible...

fricking gold. And that must have been when he was in his full Andy Kaufman emersion program. Nice little run he had, going from Truman Show to Man on the Moon.

Turned it on, they were bragging about none of the awards there are separated by gender, and that was enough for me

Blazing Saddles is also on BBC America right now, so it was hard to stay on the awards. Flipping back some.

They gave best super hero to Black Panther, and he in turn called up James Shaw Jr (Waffle House hero) and gave it to him. That was actually pretty awesome.

Up next... best kiss!

Loved it the year Sarah Michelle Gellar ( ) and Jack Black hosted. Had a whole LOTR skit about Jables turning the One Ring into a Prince Albert piercing.

Chris Pratt speech was pretty good too. Couple jokes didn’t entirely land, but it was leaps and bounds better than most of the acceptance speeches coming out of these award shows.

I think the last time I watched was when Marilyn Manson summoned the antichrist while wearing a leather thong.

Believe in God
Poop at party advice
Pray

I thought that was amazing and hit great notes.

I was glad he could lay his faith out there and not get booed off stage.

I semi-cut the cord and MTV isn't on my basic cable package, so I didn't even know it was on. I thought the MTV Movie Awards was usually broadcast on Sunday nights?

I remember Chewbacca and Godzilla both getting the lifetime achievement awards.

I think Patrick Stewart presented for Godzilla, maybe? Both were pretty dang funny.
