Difficult assignment without knowing more. My best guesses.
1. Tunes Of Glory
2. Shadow Of The Vampire
3. The Thing From Another World
4. Double Indemnity
5. Hell Is For Heroes

Then there's some one must see no matter tastes or preferences.
1. Casablanca
2. Singing In The Rain
3. The Third Man
4. Zorba The Greek
5. Fiddler On The Roof
6. Lawrence Of Arabia
7. Shane
8. Barry Lyndon
9. The Informer
10. The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
11. (Fort Apache, She Wore A Yellow Ribbon, and Rio Grande)

I'm partial to John Ford obviously. Any Stanley Kubrick as well.

Watch Shane and Clint Eastwood's Pale Rider back to back. It's his "profane" Shane.

One man's opinions. Enjoy.

I think everyone should watch Tokyo Story before it's too late (not too late for you maybe, but for your parents, grandparents, older loved ones). A movie about what's actually important in life.
