Does anyone listen to any movie talk podcast?

I use to listen and watch collider when I was in college doing homework or studying. I started SEN Live when collider blew up and canceled their movie section. SEN was good until Covid came and everyone went running home to hide. Then they stopped talking about movies and started having random people on the show and the core cast stop coming. (FYI I do enjoy the movie trivia schmoedown).

I recently started to listen to John campea show and find his movie topics is pretty interesting:

Do y’all have any favorite movie podcast

The slashfilmcast has always been my favorite. Every week they talk about what they've been watching then review a new release.

Not a podcast but “Best of the Worst” by Red Letter Media is my absolute favorite movie review content on the internet. The concept is that the guys watch three bad movies picked at random, and by the end of the show must come to a consensus as to which one is the Best of the Worst.

Every now and again they will mix it up by spinning a wheel and watching whatever it lands on or playing Plinko and watching whatever the ball lands on.

I was going to ask for movie podcast recommendations, especially horror movies. My problem with movie podcasts is that they seem to just do a plot recap for 90% of their run time. Say what you will about the Ringer/Simmons, but the Rewatchables is highly entertaining and discusses the movie without just recapping the plot.

Lights, Camera, Pod

Its the Barstool movie podcast by Jeff D Lowe, Kenjac, and Trillballins.

Its the best podcast Ive found for movies. They BS for a little while, talk about the relevant movie news of the week, review a new movie, and then they have a draft of some topic for the week. They also sometimes have interviews with people.

Love it.

I tried so hard to make Unspooled part of my rotation, but the wokeness is just in a completely different universe and impossible to ignore.

I would say avoid breakfast all day like the plague. They used to be a silly little YouTube show, then they got canned, and branched off into a podcast minus the best part of the YouTube show, who was Ben Mankiewicz

This board tends to lean right, and these guys are super duper liberal, like to the point where it’s obnoxious. Also I I think Alonso Duralde is not well. After every sentence he says, he exhales so deeply, and painfully it’s almost like every breath he takes is fighting a losing war keeping an eventual heart attack at bay. Christie Lemire is shrill and incredibly unlikable. And Matt Atchity is a douchebag

This pod was so amazingly good when it started and when actually following the original premise

"This movie had a substantial budget, A-List actors, and a professional director, how could it be so bad?"

Unfortunately, there weren't enough movies that fit this bill, and they had to expand to shitty B movies and totally nondescript mainstream fare. The increase in guest hosts and live episodes hurt as well, as the in-studio rapport of Paul, June, and Jason really made the show.

I will say I've never forgotten the story about Paul bringing home a BB8 robot and a skeptical June asking "What is its mission?" or June admitting to being attracted to Bad Earnest in Earnest Goes to Jail.

Gawd. How can anyone justify that? Unless your purpose was just to shite on the franchise. Then I totally get it.

Tales From the Boo Crew is good for interviews with horror directors and actors.

For movie industry news I have recently started listening to TV’s Top 5 from The Hollywood Reporter. They give a rundown of the top 5 biggest news stories of the week

I love a great podcast. But this sounds like a description for about 98% of the podcasts in existence.
