Me and some buddies are going to see Infinity War tonight. I am the only one with a movie pass so they have already bought tickets. Can I go by the movie theater on my lunch break, use the movie pass and get a ticket for the 8:30 showing or do they not allow advanced purchasing?

they dont allow, as far as i know, advanced purchasing. If im going to see a movie opening night i dont rely on movie pass.

Movie pass isnt for opening weekend movies.

UPDATE: you can buy your tickets for the same day in advanced. but not for another day.

I don't know how the movie pass works, but if you didn't get a ticket for that 8:30 showing already, you ain't getting one now.

Yes, they allow advanced purchasing. Just select the showtime once you get to the theater.

Well that's not true..I just bought my 7:15 ticket for tonight two minutes ago. Depends on his location, I am in Lake Charles and have never had a problem buying on opening day

and i have Movie Pass but i wasn't gonna risk waiting till I get there.

The movie theater is in Alexandria. The entire town shuts down after 9:00 during the week days. I should be ok.

Movie Pass Question

Worst case scenario, it denies you access to the late feature and you have to work the system and tell the app that you're seeing a different movie in the afternoon, and use the card to buy your ticket for later.

I wouldn't make a habit of it though, or they'll start asking you to take photos of your stubs or cut you off.

I remember seeing something about being able to get your ticket up to 2 hours in advance. But you may be able to try and get it earlier than that.

I've done it at noon for a 7pm showtime, later that day.

Not trying to derail the thread, but I just visited the moviepass website and saw this:

MoviePass + iHeartRadio
$29.85 for 3 months (billed quarterly)

See up to 4 movies a month in theaters with MoviePass.
3-month trial of iHeartRadio All Access.

Did they drop it from 30 to 4?

As a new subscriber, that is the only membership currently available. Nothing has changed for current members, YET.

Question is: Would you continue membership if they changed from 1 per day to 4 per month? I probably would, since it is still a great deal. Wouldn't be happy, but wouldn't cancel.

Only for future dates. You can go by and buy a ticket for any time listed for that day whenever you want. I bought my 9:30 infinity war ticket at noon today.

Not true if the theater doesn't list it as a special event.
