That last episode was crazy. So much happened. I can't wait to see how it all develops in the next season. One of the better series right now IMO.

How mad were you at Mr. Smith for not destroying the tape? I thought we were going to see Holden kick his arse

Holden and his girlfriend storyline is needed, it shows him outside of work. And he gets crushed and he almost literally gets crush and then he collapses.

What's up with the feed the cat scenes, yet we never see the cat and it apparently has gone away. Symbolism?

Holden was boss with the OPR guys, one of many really good scenes.

Holden pegging the principle as a pedo is really walking the tightrope. It's great that they delve into the fall out of their actions or inactions. The Mrs booms Holden's girlfriend, well you aren't married yet, you can still get out lol. Does Holden ruining the guys reputation make him break bad or are they done with that storyline?

Since she left her lover in Boston, she is no longer getting any "pussy".

Idc what they say. No one who is THAT determined to touch little kids feet isn't a future predator

It's one thing if he did it and didn't think anything of it, and then after the parents said something he was like okay I'll stop

The dude fought for his right to tickle children like susan b Anthony fought for women's suffrage. Something ain't right there

So their first arrest was a false conviction right? He went down for a BTK murder? Or did I interpret that wrong.

No, the BTK killer hasn't killed any one yet I don't believe. They are showing the gradual steps he's taking to plan it out without going through with it yet, which is what's ed Kemper talked about in his interviews.

Their first arrest takes place in Sacramento California, while all the BTK scenes are in Kansas

My bad. That one was in Sacramento. Got jumbled up with the locations.

Yeah the BTK stuff was sprinkled in so lightly that you kind of expect it to unfold more than it does, so it's an easy confusion to make. Especially that early on in the season when they are switching locations and storylines every other scene

Maybe the can of tuna was meant to represent Holden being put out as bait for Carr and the affect it has had on him.

It does. Second episode is really picks up and they start interviewing serial killers. If you can't get into after the 2nd then maybe it isn't for you

Agree with all of this. I know it was a different time period but that's just wrong. If for no other reason than the parents themselves want him to stop- he should have stopped. I'm not convinced we have seen the last of him. Still think he ends up going further and they'll give it a brief storyline later.

NO, they’re showing Dennis raider separately to highlight escalation

Those scenes are independent of what’s going on in the story

Definitely keep the time period in mind. This was back when teachers were beating the shite out of students and most parents didn't care.

incorrect, he had killed people.

Remember the scene where he's in the house frustratingly waiting? That was in 1979 and he had killed like 7 or 8 people by then

Ahh I was under the impression he was still progressing he desire to kill without going thru with it yet. Haven't gone thru in detail the IRL story of BTK

I could see him end up committing some crimes, and them talking about the "stressor" of being fired being the reason his actions were triggered, which would leave them to think it was his fault in a way

Yeah but in this case the parents did care. And what he was doing wasn't punishment, it was a reward system that didn't really reienforce any kind of lesson, all it did was create an incentive for the kids to talk to him and more oppurtunity for him to touch them.

It was so fricking weird. Lock his arse up

This, he is definitely a weirdo. No way would I want my kids at his school.

My point is I was happy when he got fired, then they show his wife and talked about their three kids, that's who I felt sorry for, he can burn if he did anything more than being super weird. He showed signs of being on a power trip also, creepy dude. I don't even like thinking about freaks like him.

At the end of the day, he'd still have his job and the FBI nor anyone else would be breathing down his neck if he'd had just stopped when the frickin' parents asked him to stop.
