I’d have loved to have seen 21 jump street and MIB do a collaboration. I just had to rewatch the 22 Jump Street credits with all of the sequels and it’s still friggin hilarious. Oh well.

Thompson does here what Tommy Lee Jones did so well in the first "Men in Black"... By not overtly giving a rip about the demands or dictates of the franchise machinery clanking all around her, she lightens the load and keeps everything moving efficiently.
What does this mean

I just don't trust an opinion based on that display of taste. I see others in the thread saying that 3 was better than 2, but I just don't see it. 3 was just worthless, and I saw it in the theater.
I hope you’re confusing 2 and 3.

Jones very much played his role in MiB in a way that you could plop him into any random serious spy movie and it would work just fine.
Going off that comment Thompson is probably the straight man character who almost comes off like she is in a drama due to being completely unimpressed by the fact she is fighting aliens while Hemsworth is the comedic character reacting to all the craziness around him in a more tongue in cheek manner.

3 worked very well. It really had no business being as good as it was.
The ending is a great twist and a legit heart-tugger.

Whoever convinced Hollywood execs that Valkyrie chick has any star power whatsoever needs to be fired immediately. She is homely as hell. And did anyone take her seriously as a badass in the Marvel movies? When she came on screen the movies came to a grinding halt. I can’t imagine paying money to see a movie where she’s actually a lead.

I hope you’re confusing 2 and 3.
I don't know how anyone would reach a different conclusion.

So, in the time line I currently find myself in, all those movies were received very well or made lots of money. I don't know what your issue with her is, but most people aren't having it. She was great in Annihilation and Little Woods.

This movie may be poo but I don’t trust critic reviews at all. They love Disney movies and sjw crap. That’s it.
Then why did they hate Aladdin which was a good movie and was fun af

I liked that. The story was Ice Cube, Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum get recruited into the MiB.
Would have been good.
Too many white males.

Another Hollywood bonk? You'd think they'd maybe do some market research to see what people would like to see before making shite movies. Did anyone really want another MiB?

I’m going to see this tomorrow night. I’ll start a thread with thoughts. I fully expect for this to be mindless filler escapism which I want

honestly i'm surprised it is at 35% - seems way too high to me.

same
I'm waiting to see the audience score. This might not suck.

She is a good supporting actress, but she has no star power.
People going to see MIBI are going either for the franchise, or for Chris Hemsworth.
