I don't think he's gay. He's had multiple gfs in the past and there'd be no reason to go on such a public show knowing that he's not interested.
Someone on another MAFS board I peruse made a great suggestion, that perhaps he actually has a real gf before going on the show. That would definitely explain his extreme lack of being physical with kate, and intentionally being a jerk to try to push her away from him. Why would he do the show then? Well, for one it would be exposure to his shitty dating service business, and maybe him and his gf want to be minor celebrities. Who knows. I do think that would explain a lot of his behavior though.

which leads more proof to the hidden gf theory. He is basically just SEARCHING for any out he can come up with to make this not work but have him not be the bad guy. And his whole emotional story about a friend getting killed was as transparent as glass. Luke definitely drinks too, he was doing shots at the party. On the other MFAS board I mentioned people had dug through his fb from his college days (so presumably this would be very near the time "the incident" happened) and showed him partying his arse off and clarifying "9 shots bro!".
Not that I care that he drinks or parties, it's just utter BS the reason he gave for blaming kate.

I can assure you of three things:
1) I am taller than Luke

I hate Luke. I don't think he has a secret girlfriend. I think he legit just doesn't find Kate attractive. I'm not sure why, because she is adorable. He seems to just have a huge stick up his arse and like he'd be a miserable person to be friends with or married to.

I've gotta think there's more to it than that though. Even if he didn't find her attractive (which I certainly know that he does not, and I think the "experts" knew that as well) his behavior is still so over the top. He's downright mean to her. And to say he was "repulsed and dead inside" after their first kiss...I mean that's just not something you say to someone in this situation.

I think he's easily the first person in 8 seasons of this show whom arse I'd be gladly willing to stomp into a mud hole if given the opportunity.

didn't get to watch the full ep but man luke's entire family is dislikable. The mom basically wanted it to fail from the get go you could tell that from the first episode (claiming it's a sham and the show makes a mockery of marriage). Then in her sit down with kate she had the nerve to ask "what is the least you expect from this?" what a loaded question. Then asked if kate was doing everything she could to amke it work. Um hello your son is 100% the reason it was doomed to fail from the first second!
