Hilarious that you’re using a picture from Shadow or Mordor, a non-canon video game.

We know Celebrimbor was a spitting image of his grandfather Fëanor (not that you know who that is) and inherited his grandfather’s gifts being the second greatest smith in Middle Earth after Sauron. Tolkien was also very explicit on what Fëanor looked like. It’s actually important to the plot.

But it’s more than that. This is what Celebrimbor is supposed to look like:
Again, I'm not particularly concerned about page-to-screen adaptation in this case.
There were a ton of Game of Thrones characters that did not resemble "what they should've looked like" in ASOIAF descriptions but ended up with some very well-cast individuals. I'm more concerned with how well roles will be acted and portrayed.

I’m sorry, they replaced the most badass and important elf of the Second Age with Liberace. It’s a blatant insult to the fans. It’s not worth giving it a chance.
To each his own.

You do see what they're doing right?
They took a masculine figure and feminized them to look like some elf eunuch and took a powerfully feminine character and masculinized them.
This permeates almost every product of the day regardless of genre.

I’m saying what they’ve done to Celebrimbor would be like casting Dany as a fat green eyed brunette. Celebrimbor’s appearance is actually important, more important for any character other than Galadriel.

That’s a claim, but tell me how having long black hair helps him craft the rings?

That’s exactly what they did. Such a fricking insult to the character that just what they’ve done to Celebrimbor alone is a deal breaker.

It’s not though.
That’s just a man.
An obvious man. Not feminine looking, just a guy.

Yeah man he should be so fricking bad arse in fricking armor like the video game.

i'm not reading through all 34 pages, so can someone give me the TLDR on whether this show is worth the time based on the first two episodes?

They release Friday.

If you enjoy J.R.R. Tolkien and the Peter Jackson movies, then this series is not for you.

The hair color is important due to the history of the Noldor. Fëanor probably made the Silmarils in jealousy of his niece Galadriel hair being able to catch the light of the Trees. He harbored it and demanded a lock of Galadriel’s hair, in which she refused (which is why it’s a huge deal she gave Gimli three locks of her hair). In response he created the Silmarils to harbor the light of the trees which Morgoth later steals starting the whole shite show of the War of the Jewels and the War of Wrath.
So hair color started all this shite. That’s how important it is. The House of Fëanor have hair as black as night, and it’s fricking blasphemous that Celebrimbor is a blonde aged effeminate twink when he was the most masculine of all the elves in Middle Earth at that time.

There’s not a word in the English dictionary that accurately describes how much you suck as a person.

Ummmm, yeah. Yeah he was kind of known for his fricking armor, specifically forging. You’ve got Celebrimbor forging you’re armor, you’re good to go in battle.

I asked What was important about their hair color and you talked about 2 other characters hair color.
Also, calling him an effeminacy twink is borderline psychotic. He’s a normal looking middle aged man. You’re a fricking lunatic.

You know what blacksmiths don’t wear while forging armor, armor. Most people don’t wear armor a majority of the time. If he shows up in the robes in a battle scene complain alway.
And again, you called Charles Edwards an effeminate twink. Which is just a fricking crazy opinion.

Yeah, frick off on your semantics. You might as well be saying “Nuh uh, he doesn’t wear armor when he goes to bed.” All you’ve got is semantics, you Woke piece of shite.

You’re the one crying about him not being in armor.
And I bring Up the twink part to point out how fricking unhinged and removed from reality your complaints are

Ok, a guy who looks and dresses like Liberace, that is not a crazy thought to go through someone’s head.
