Lone Star (1996)

Great Film. Stars Kris Kristofferson, Chris Cooper, Chest McConaughey before he hit it big, and Elizibeth Pena who was like a fine wine in this film, but that was 25 years ago. She was sexy af.
Good screenplay and some WTF suprises in the third act. Recommended.

Great movie, but I think Matewan was Sayle's best.

quote:I knew nothing about his work, reputation or prowess until I watched an old Siskel and Ebert review of Lone Star. Lone Star was just a movie I really enjoyed but Sayle is really respected. I haven't done so yet but I'll watch what you've suggested and he has a few others too.

(edit) Just watched a Matewan trailer. James Earl Jones and Chris Cooper again! Mining issues in WV I think? The trailer was purposely vague. With linguistically authentic accents? I'm in!
