He'd be replacing the legendary Leslie Nielsen as Detective Frank Drebin and will be brought to the screen by Seth MacFarlane, the creator of Family Guy.

That’s awesome stuff. Before seeing that, I thought Liam Neeson would be the worst choice for The Naked Gun. Now I think he’s perfect for it.

There have to be tons of outtakes of that skit. It’s amazing they could get through that one time without losing it. “I have full blown AIDS”

Neeson’s cameo in Ted 2 is easily the funniest part of the movie as well

I'm not excited that they are rebooting this but Neeson actually seems like someone who could pull it off. He has a similar deadpanned delivery to Leslie Nielson.

That skit is one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a bit.

Also reminds me how much I hate that Hello Ladies only got one season and a tv movie

fricking criminal. That show was awesome.

That clip in Life's Too Short is so incredible. I lose it every single time at "We're closed."

I'm convinced Liam Neeson is one of the greatest actors ever.

As someone in this thread mentions, his filmography is diverse and all over the place. He's hardly Tom Hanks playing the everyman or Tom Cruise playing the misunderstood action hero in every movie.

Feels like he can pull off almost any role at this point.

Well he can certainly pull off deadpan comedy.

I liked Hello Ladies but it was way too cringe to work for very long

There were scenes where I legit had to fast forward because they are too cringe

Neeson is not a bad choice. In the A-Team reboot, if memory serves me, he played the character of the guy who was under consideration for the original Drebin character, so it kinda makes sense.

Although if you ask me, I think Kevin Nealon would be great in the role...
