LeVar Burton as Jeopardy host.....

I tried to go into it with an open mind, but LeVar Burton is awful. It’s like he

Of course, this makes the cadence unbearable. It was no wonder that they didn’t finish Double Jeopardy.
I realize that this is his first day, so I’m willing to see if he improves. But, I can’t imagine him getting this gig with his performance today.

The wife and I made sure to watch tonight to see how he was as host. We weren't impressed. The two of us think Blossom should be the permanent host.

She's in the bottom 3 for me. She laughed at inappropriate moments and just had a bad cadence overall.
My top 3 are:
1) Mike Richards
2) Buzzy Cohen (I disliked him as a contestant)
3) Bill Whitaker or Ken Jennings
I would love to have seen them bring back Austin Rogers as a guest host. It took a little time to get used to him but after a while he was fun to watch. It would have been interesting to see how he did as a host.

Aaron Rogers needs to do it again. He was way better than I thought he’d be.
I enjoy most of these celebrity hosts and I hope they never go back to having a permanent host.

LeVar Burton is usually pretty articulate.
Between star track and reading rainbow I’ve never considered him poorly spoken. Usually the opposite. I’d give him another episode.

There were multiple articles the past few days, which I guess were pre-emptive damage control, where he admitted he screwed up the first show but his wife gave him a pep talk, told him to be himself and he did better on the rest.

Mike Richards has been my favorite. I also liked Buzzy even though I couldn't stand him as a contestant. I was positively surprised by Aaron Rodgers. He needs work, but he does have talent for this.
My biggest issue with many of the guest hosts is how they are slow to rule on the response. There is a flow to the game and some disrupt that flow when they take a beat or more to rule correct or incorrect. Sometimes you can see the contestants taken aback as they are ready to call for the next clue and the host is behind them.
But in the end, I have a suspicion the new host was decided on 6 months ago. I expect it to be Ken Jennings. I hope I am incorrect.
