Why did people think this would incite violence? and why are people so disgusted with the quote "what happens when you cross a mentally ill loner and a society that abandons him" I've also read several theories that all of this was a construct of Arthur's mind, and he imagined all of this while in a mental institution for killing his mother, do you have any opinions on said theory?

The violence/incite fears were probably based on tDKR shooting. Valid fears or not, that did happen.
As far as the mentally ill loner comment, a lot of mass shooting have been by a pretty standard type. White, incel, picked on, reclusive, etc. I think that because that is a type a lot of people were all “wtf are you making this character relatable or pitiable for? We should just hate them.”
I really took this movie as giving the mentally ill and ostracized a voice (in a positive way.)
One of the saddest things that I remember about the Parkland shootings was that in the middle of all the “get rid of guns” comments from the kids, that one chick was asked about the shooter and she said,
quote:
“Since he was in middle school, it was no surprise to anyone who knew him, that he was the shooter. Those talking about how we should have not ostracized him? You didn’t know this kid! OK? We did!”.
So you ostracized a person and then are angry when they lash out? I’m not justifying a person doing something so evil at all, but people ask how we can stop this without taking guns away, this movie is an insight into how somebody starts down that path.

It was the media pushing that narrative for clicks.

I haven't seen this yet.
Is or was there any indication that we'll see a new batman associated with this movie?

No batman in this universe.

That's too bad. I'd like to see the sorta batman they'd pair with this version of joker.

Currently not planned but not off the table either

I hope not, I thought Joker was not very good. This movie could have been made without any ties to Joker/Batman, I feel like by putting the paint & green hair with the title that was just a cheap attempt to cash in off the Batman/Joker name.
I get the mentally ill vs “system” storyline, which is why I think it could have still been a decent movie made apart from Joker.
I get they took liberties with the story, but
-how do you have an “origin” story when Joker is like 40-45?
-nothing about him in this movie suggests that he could be a criminal mastermind
-How they make Thomas Wayne look like a dick?

That's Arthur's warped recollection, not how Thomas Wayne actually was.

How do you know he's 40-45? Joaquin can easily pass for early 30s.

Ehh...when you think about it, he does nothing out of ordinary. He condemns the killings of those wall st guys, and punches a guy that attacked his butler and put his hands on his son.

Flashpoint Thomas Wayne is a dick.

Because he was never truly himself. He was always trying to fit in and be “normal“. It’s very plausible that whenever he just says frick it, I’m gonna be me and screw what anyone else thinks, that his brain would essentially be “unlocked” as well

Sorry but to me he just definitely not early 30. Just checked and he is 45 in real life.
While nothing he did was “wrong”, we’d all have punched Joker and condemn murder, but again it just wasn’t spun into the best light, from my viewpoint at least.

And it’s clearly shown that Arthur is not a reliable narrator. We are shown Arthur’s point of view
