So in the scene where Daniel kicks the gate at the beginning and knocks down Freddy, Mr Fernandez invites him to a party. By the way, those guys ended up being douches. Anyway, when he is inviting him to the party he adds some statement at the end of the invitation and I could never make out what he was saying? Any help here? It has bothered me since I was 10.

This woman can't stay employed at one place.
Again, total changing of character for no reason but to fit the script. She was this overbearing/overprotecting parent until Miyagi enters the picture...then she basically relinquishes custody to the maintenance man.

The All-Valley tournament was in December 19...Daniel just gets his license before the tournament on his 16th birthday. So his birthday is in December.
After the school year ends, he lives with Miyagi and then travels to Okinawa...so he's still a minor at 16 that summer.

Freddy and his friends have never made much sense.
I assume Freddy goes to the same high school...he lives in the same apartment complex and knows Ali at the beach. If so, he knows that Johnny is the BMOC.
He also shows up at the tournament so he knows that Johnny is the reigning Karate Champion.
Then why the hell is it such an embarrassment that Daniel gets beat up by Johnny? They dismiss him like he just got whipped by Urkel - when they didn't do anything.
And it's not like Daniel proclaimed he was awesome...he merely insinuated he knew some Karate when Freddy was pestering him.
You would think Freddy would say..."don't worry about dude, Johnny is the shite."

Now we're talking childhood memories. I always hated this pronounciation as well. I remember that we used to have the LSU/Purdue 1986 NCAA basketball game recorded. There was some news footage after the game, and Rollie Massemino from Villinova pronounced tournament the same way.
I guess Ralph Maccio and Rollie are from the same Jersey Guido neck of the woods.

Miagi is a maintainence man. He has a hell of a nice house and amazing garden. Sure its built on underage slave labor but hows he getting $$$ for all that lumber? Not to mention the cars.
