It wasn't just Sixth Sense, the other movies had twists at the end too. Every movie he makes get worse and worse. I quit at Lady in the Water and should have quit before Signs. Also, he produced such memorable turds as The Last Airbender and After Earth.

The Perfect Storm is great.

It's horrific. I've never been as mad at a movie in my life when Marky Mark slipped beneath the waves at the end realizing the entire story was a fabrication.

This thread has now told me that The Perfect Storm and Signs are both terrible. Those are two excellent movies.

I get what you mean about TPS...I was unfamiliar with the story and so I was expecting a bit of a different ending, but it's a movie and I took it as much.

I like signs way more than TPS. In his top 3 films.

Which I have to say are

Sixth sense
Unbreakable
Signs

Watching it now. Decent enough movie, but I lost my shite when he ran to the truck and to get the gun in the safe and it wasn't loaded, not were the any rounds in the mag. Why carry a gun then?

Just watched this. Went in with pretty low expectations, and actually enjoyed it. Wasn't anything mind-blowing, but it was interesting enough. Bautista was really good. I liked it much better than the past several MNS movies,

I thought the movie made it pretty clear that he was gay.

I watched it last night and thought it was very well done - very suspenseful and great cinematography. Agreed about the ending - but just not sure what could have been done.

I liked that it more or less had unity of time and place. And the effects of the disasters - it was cool how they gave just tangential exposure to that.

This was his best in a long time. I liked Old, but pretty much nothing else since The Village.

I actively hated this movie. Which is unusual for me.

Contrived. Felt emotionally manipulative. Trash effort from M Night.

I have no gripe with the performances.

Such a streaky filmmaker. I very much like Sixth Sense, Signs, unbreakable, Split, and The Visit.

i completely agree with him (not that it was bad, but about the story. This was overly advertised as "Based on a true story". The only thing true about the story was there was a boat that went out and didnt come back.

None of the parts of the story were "true" that happened on the boat.
