I just read an interesting theory that says the visitor could be the Marian Manhunter, and that they can see a red X in the reflection of the glasses. I like the theory-but can't see the X. It could also be Kilowog...it could be one green lantern ring reflecting in both lenses. It could be Superman. Good evidence that we'll see Supergirl at least get mentioned(I'm convinced that's her in the hologram). We'll just have to see.

Yup BvS is the movie equivalent of TJ Miller's last stand up

I won't read through 15 pages but what is the consensus of the JL trailer?

I saw it for the first time before Dunkirk last night and I have to say it didn't wow me. Looked like another suicide squad. Mostly CGI, cringeworthy forced jokes, and what's with the slow motion fighting?

I might be in the minority but that didn't look good at all.

My earlier discussion:

Aquaman surfing down on what I'm assuming was a paredemon and hopping out of the crushed building was just appalling

Yeah it really was.

I don't know how to explain it.

The Marvel movies feel like you're watching the Hero Universe through a fourth wall. It always just feels right. It feels like you're peaking into a universe.

The DC universe feels like I'm watching the movie that was made based of the events. I'm always very aware that I'm watching a movie.

I think it all comes down to directing.

The MCU let's stories and fights and drama and characters all flesh out on front of you.

The DCEU is more of a director jamming the story into your face and always reminding you that it's a movie. That aquaman scene is a good example of that. That scene was the director screaming into your face "HEY ISN'T THIS COOL!".

Instead of just having him fight. There's 20 seconds of slow motion and then a needless destruction of the background and then he runs up to the camera for a closeup. I expected him to look right at the camera and break the fourth wall with a snide comment like "how'd you like that, audience? Am I kicking arse or what?"

Does anyone else get what in saying?

I'm not trying to knock it. I'm trying to figure out why I never seem excited about it.

DC has slow motion and CGI almost constantly throughout the 3 hours. By the time the halfway point gets there its lost all its luster and by the time the end gets there its just cluttered and annoying.

Mostly CGI, cringeworthy forced jokes

So, you hated Guardians of the Galaxy, too?

I saw a couple of articles that mentioned Geoff Johns showing a new trailer for Justice League to NATO. Which freaked me out. Until I found out that NATO was the National Association of Theater Owners.

The big quote from his speech was that the Flash has been the consensus favorite character from the screenings.

In Man of Steel's continuity, doesn't Kara Zor-El predate Kal-El by almost 100 years? I thought she was in suspended animation on the scout ship that crashed on Earth. Wouldn't she, in effect, be his Great-Aunt?

If Supergirl was on that scout ship (which was in the comic book adaptation of Man of Steel) then she got to Earth about 18,000 years ago (according to the ice samples around the ship in Man of Steel). The only thing we don't know for sure is when she was released from suspended animation.

Either way, she's MUCH older than Kal.

When he hears that five Amazons are riding around in a weaponized Batmobile, he'll come out of hiding.

But what ever could you mean about this situation ? Isn't he dead at the end of the last cinema event my friend? Aren't we all sappoze-a believe he dead?

Do you really think they can bring him back? He does get his power from the yellow sun and they jammed him in a coffin and buried him.

Who wants to bet Batman designed the coffin as a uv rays rejuvenation chamber or some dumb shite?

I read the supposed spoilers from people that have seen the film, and it would be interesting how they bring him back if they are true.

Dead horse meat has rejuvenating powers, but only from a gray horse
