Very solid acting and script. The way they bring you the backstory of the family, and the way they conduct the search is totally believable in todays social media world.

I just finished it also. I really liked it and agree with the way they showed the backstory and that opening montage was really well done.
John Cho is very underrated. He was also very good in Columbus.

How scary/horror was it? I ask because my fiancé hates horror movies but I may be able to pull her into a psychological thriller.
For reference, Prison would have been too scary.
I want to see both this and The Nun.

There are some tense moments but no horror elements.

Not scary, this is probably way better than Nun

That opening was Up level sad.

Saw it yesterday...I thought it was brilliantly executed. There were a few nits/plot holes, but overall, this movie was more about concept and theme than pure execution. Kudos to the creators.

I liked the movie, and the director did a good job presenting everything via computer screens and phones (not original, Modern Family did an episode like this a few years ago). I liked the execution, and the twist, and the performances, with one exception. I didn't like Debra Messing's acting. Maybe she's better at comedy, but the way she delivered her lines just seemed too stiff. You can hear what I'm talking about when you watch the trailer.
