Might be the funniest show I’ve ever watched. The comedic style hits me just right.

I just started watching this week, too. I had to ask my buddies if the show got better after the first season. I'm 7 episodes in and it feels like a slog. They all said the first season is the weakest. I plan to keep up with it.

I felt this way, for sure. It gets better. I ended up enjoying the show but I also don't really feel like it lived up to the hype.

the lady who plays alexis might be one of the funniest female actresses i have ever seen. She cracks me up more than anyone on the show. Sometimes it’s just her mannerisms and facial expressions - plus she’s super hot.

I didn’t like Moira at all in the early seasons but by season 3 she was one of my favorites.

Eugene Leavy plays a great straight man.

Its just a smart, great, feel good show. It does take a little while to warm up, but it is just the type of show to put a smile on your face.

I made it all the way through- but it wasn't worth it in my opinion. I think you either really like it or you don't- there's not a lot of middle ground.

I didn't get the hype when I first started watching season 1 and gave up after 2 episodes...but then I tried again and pushed through and LOVED it. I would compare it to Seinfeld in that these characters are basically terrible human beings. But you end up loving them and they do grow and change for the better as time goes on.

It's weird. I love Eugene Levy. I love Chris Elliot.
I love Best in Show and This is Spinal Tap and everything about that type of humor.

But I just could not get into this show.

Wife and I tried 3x and finally got through S1

We thought it was average at best and around S3 it took a turn

Glad we stuck it out because we both loved it.

I remember my mom trying to explain this show to me and it sounded horrible. Then I house sat for my parents last summer and decided to check it out. Great show. Moira was a great character but her breathy voice drove me crazy. Eugene Levy and Chris Elliot were the best overall characters. The only one I didn't like was Patrick. It's not that he was bad or I hated his storyline but I would never have put up with the shite he does.

Don't focus on whatever the plot is. The greatness of Schitt's Creek is the dialogue & mannerisms between the four family members. They are all hilarious in their own way. Catherine O'Hara is just pure greatness & it is nice to see Eugene Levy where his character is not the uncool, unhip older white guy. One of my favorite minor things about the show is when Alexis goes on a rant about some famous celebrity that she hooked up with & the people in the town never react or ask her questions about it.

Maureen O'Hara

I’m pretty sure she’s dead. Catherine O’Hara, on the other hand, is a hoot as Moira.

The dialogue is great but for me it's the subtle mannerisms of the characters especially Alexis and David. Both actors are great at doing reaction comedy with just their faces and body. They can lift an eyebrow at something and get me chuckling

The dynamics between the characters is really great. I really loved the show but I am really into the dry, subtle humor. I am honestly shocked at the ending as I thought they were going a different route with the characters. I won't spoil it and discuss further here though.

There are really no characters that i didn't like in some form, even down to Bob and Ronnie played their parts well. I love that Twyla is played by Eugene Levy's daughter. Early on you think she will be a throwaway character and she is pretty central through the show.
