They act like Ive got to come here. I just wanted to have a thread for movies that are obscure. Almost like nobody cant believe it if someone else says they have seen it, but you love them. That type movie.

Mines" the burbs" tom hanks, it's on demand on dish network for 3$ I think. Worth it

Other great Tom Hanks’ movies from back then are “Dragnet” and “The Money Pit”.

Another movie like “The Burbs” from back then would be “Neighbors” (the one from the 80’s).

Now, none of the movies are obscure, but have the same type humor.

Everyone has heard of and loves The Burbs dude.

But if you’re just discovering that era of movies, go ahead and fire up Joe vs the Volcano.

Another great watch from Hanks in the same style.

When I was a kid I watched a movie called Clubhouse Detectives many times. I thought every kid everywhere was enjoying this movie and every neighbor was a murder. Turns out no one else watched it and it is the children's version of the Burbs.

Define "obscure"?

I mean, "The Burbs" was pretty popular during its time but doesn't get remakes and such, so other 80s movies might seem less obscure for that reason? It also never had sequels, etc.

That said, I certainly remember watching it growing up.

The only Tom Hanks movie that immediately comes to mind as being "obscure" is Monsters and Mazes.

I have read this a few times and still don't understand what you're trying to say.

The Beaver Trilogy

Best seen having no knowledge of it.

The Beaver Trilogy: Part IV is the documentary that explains it and follows up on the participants.
