That's why I asked. It's been 30+ years since I've been through there. Wouldn't be usual to use actual restaurants/bars/sites that existed at the time the scene was set to make it more authentic. The Fox and Hound does sound like a bar in Laffy.

I think you’re putting too much emphasis on the actual bar. It really has nothing to do with the plot. It’s just a random bar near the place he ran into the Prost he helped.

The actual “Fox and Hound” bar was in Elmwood. It has since become a 5 below.

That's where the scene was set moron. Woody's character lived in Laffy in the show.

when do they say that? because his daughters definitely had dominican uniforms and they went to airline skate center

Just rewatched it as well. The acting, editing, writing, pacing, direction, sound, music, production design - all perfect.

Makes the new season seem like shite in comparison. And the new season isn’t that bad (at least yet)

The show was great for the most part. The landing on who the killer was kind of sucked given all the build up.

Probably the most visually and thematically accurate portrayal of south Louisiana ever put on screen

Especially the scenes south of Abbeville and in New Iberia

Completely agree. The episode with the bikers didn't flow well, but the rest was great.

Since this show has aired and even with the few people that genuinely didn't like the show, this might be the first time I've heard this criticism. Widely viewed as one of the best single episodes of TV of all time.

The Beaumont episode was fricking amazing. The camera shots during the ghetto show down were fantastic

I have a hard time drawing any kind of comparison between True Detective and Lonesome Dove, but Lonesome Dove is my favorite thing ever, so have an upvote.
