I know Gemstones is still in progress, but I saw the first season and laughed my arse off. Somehow id never seen VP or Eastbound so i'm now i'm caught up.

I'm surprised how much i liked Vice Principals. I wanted more and for that reason i might rank it number 1

Eastbound was very over the top, but i grew to really like it. Stevie and Maria were the GOAT. I didnt like the Mexico storyline but from there I really liked it.

I liked all of them but i might rank them VP, Gemstones, and then Eastbound. I just think Walt Goggins adds another level to the shows.

Curious what the board things of the 3 and how they compare to each other and how you'd rank them?

PS: WTF were they thinking with the end of S3 of Eastbound? So he makes it to the bigs and then drops the ball on the mound and dies? Then fakes his death? They lost me there

Eastbound and Down is #1 for me. The other two are pretty interchangeable.

I love Eastbound just because it is pretty much OG Danny McBride shenanigans'. Loved VP and Gemstones as well and I agree, Goggins adds an unreal level to each of the shows. To be honest, I dont think I can rank them one ahead of another, they are all great in their own fricked up ways

I did the same a few months back having never watched any of of his shows. I really enjoyed them all but Goggins and Mcbride were so great together in VP so I put it at the top as well. Edi Patterson is funny as hell too in both shows. Her little story at the Outback in Gemstones was one of the funniest moments I've seen on TV LINK .
Cant wait for season 2

100%

I agree about Edi Patterson. The Outback scene is amazing. Also, when she tells him in VP that she's pregnant after he "sneezed" inside her. lol I lost my shite

You might stand alone in this analysis. You look like a bag of mashed up a-hole.

Walter Goggins is pretty much the most underrated actor of the last 20 years

He's great, I agree. But I didn't watch his show on CBS, wonder if that's any good or not.

In my opinion:

1. Eastbound
2. VP
3. Gemstones

Gemstones is easily going to be #1 when all is said and done for me. The more HBO Walton Goggins we get, the better.

Vice Principals and Eastbound is tough for #2, but I think Eastbound tailed way off the deep end too much in season 3, so I'd probably put Vice Principals second, although we didn't get enough of that.

Pretty insane range to do such a good job with the insane crime drama on The Shield and also the goof comedy in the McBride shows. Insane.

I've loved everything Goggins has ever done but Ashley Schaeffer makes EB&D an easy #1 for me.
