My favorite film of 2019. It’s a movie that has everything you could want in a movie.

I remember seeing it when it came on HBO. By that time, I had heard all the hype, and I have to say, I thought the first 30 minutes or so of the movie were stupid and I was about to turn it off, but glad I stuck with it. It turned out to be a really, really good movie that was worthy of the hype, imho.

it's a great movie.
My wife didn't want to watch it b/c she said the previews looked stupid, and the beginning of the movie met her expectation so she was ready to stop watching, but i was there to make her keep watching and she ended up loving the movie.

One of the best threads in Movie tv history was on jojo rabbit and that one guy scizo post for pages about how the movie sucked because it wasn’t an accurate take on hitler’s personality

Which was the point. Jojo idolized Hitler but didn’t know much about him on a personal level given Hitler was always smoking and eating meat.

Great movie, cried like a baby. Very unique angle for a story about the war.

Probably one of the best movies I’ve seen in a decade.

Saint Alonso hates it. It was a thread

Oh yeah, he’s the guy that grandstanded saying he knew what he was talking about because his pappy served in WWII and then flipped out on me when I asked which extermination camp his grand papa was stationed.

I thought is was a good, not great, movie. Taika Waititi carried the movie. Yorki was also hilarious
