The Rotten Tomatoes fresh score started at 91% fresh last Friday, and has since risen to 94%.
I often worry that a continued franchise may drop the ball along the way, but this movie's reviews have increased every movie.
I plan on seeing this one in IMAX, though I introduced the wife to this series and she became a fan, and now she has her board exam next weekend so I'll have to wait until she's free from her studies to go see it with her.

My wife has zero interest in this.
My best buddy is an a-hole who plays on his phone in the theater.
So I guess I'll be watching this one by myself.

My wife is sometimes a talker during movies, which she knows I dislike and want zero distractions, so part of me wants to see this alone, but I fear she would hate me for having fun alone while she deals with the immense stress of med school. I'd feel like a jerk myself if I did that. Maybe I can see it twice.

I just watched the first one for the first time this weekend. Can’t wait to watch 2 & 3 then 4 in theaters

You can skip to four. There's not a lot of story line you're going to miss

No. He is deeply, deeply wrong. They contain an intense amount of lore, and each entry bleeds immediately into the next one. Not to mention #2 is the most fun entry of the first three.

Completely disagree with skipping them, they are all good movies and there is some background story to cover.

You need to watch the first three. Plenty of lore that will help you understand world the operate within, especially since this installment is going to bring all the lore details together. Also, JW 2 and 3 have decisions made within them that have repercussions leading into this movie.

I'm not saying there is no story, but John Wick isn't driven by story, it's driven by body count.

The wife and I have tickets for Saturday. We have seen all of them in theaters. The first one came out when that 50 Shades crap dropped around Vday that year. We saw the first JW instead.

As is my wife, mainly during trailers but I often give her a WTF look because I see no need for any conversation during a movie.
We saw scream and some other lady had her 2 year old there that was making a fuss and she kept saying “are you kidding me?”’to the point where it was worse than the 2 YO.
