Great series. If you ever get to Quincy Massachusetts be sure to visit their home and the church where their tombs are located. You go back in time.

1776 has a scene lampooning this, with Adams talking about how history will go down as talking about Franklin, Washington, and Washington’s horse did everything themselves.

Giamatti’s court room scene was just magnificent. Perfect actor for the role.

Probably one of the all time great castings for an on screen role

I watched all of this today on Encore. Lots of great characters in it. George Washington is a dog, as was Sam Adams. John takes his time getting with the program in it. In the beginning of the story, he's got a good income, and life, from his deals with the corrupt English governor. His cousin

Started at 9am and was done at noon. I've probably watched it four or five times. It ends the same way every time!
