Just because you were awesome at Jeopardy and probably don't need to read the answer cards does not automatically make you a game show host...that's a different animal.

I'm not a huge fan of his, but I always thought that Anderson Cooper was easily the best new host idea by a mile.
He's a prick, but he's has a very good teleprompter voice and he'd he has a good prescene that is needed for that show.
You need someone with a strong, cutting voice that Trebek had snd Cooper has that as well.
But, if the questions from The Chase are any indicator, the questions will get more and more to do with SJw bullshite instead of very classical historical, scientific, and arts type trivia that is the staple of the show.

He did better than I expected. I liked his words about Alex before the game and his sign off to Alex at the end. His control of the game play was fine. But IMO he has some issues that one can't simply practice to improve.
His voice is too high and too raspy. There is also zero sense of drama in his manner and voice. The whole thing felt empty. He is a smart guy, but there is no authority in his voice. It's bland and vanilla. I look forward to seeing how the other host guest hosts do.
