Just watched the pilot. Please tell me this show remains as awesome as the pilot throughout both seasons.

It does not at all. Season 1 is good, I liked it.
Season 2 is almost universally considered to be absolute shite, for a variety of reasons.

yeah but no one can really defend the particular "government" choices made in S2. I won't get into them here, but they were batshit lunacy and I'm really now sure how anyone can see them as anything but dumb.

Agreed. They tried to force a then current event into the plot to purposefully mislead lesser informed viewers as to what was occurring.

That was my plan after the 2nd episode of season 2, but never made it past episode 3 because I signed back up for Hulu.

Just stop at the end of the first season and you'll be find. Start watching the second, however, and you may just wish the Chinese Flu would kill you.

We just finished season 1. It was incredible, Absolutely loved it. Not gonna watch season 2 because everyone says it completely sucks.
