Is the nadir of the series to date. It isn't bad but the first 6 episodes are just not up to the normal pace and intrigue of the rest of the series. I remember now fearing the series had lost its impact, fortunately, it picks up in the last 4 episodes with Hardhomme (e8) being one of the best.

Agree?

Season 5 moved slowly

Season 7 felt like a completely different show. That elite quality just wasn't there.

Season 7 was too rushed and there was clear drop in writing quality due in part to it.

Once I get to S5 in my current series rewatch, I’m thinking about just watching the scenes at/beyond The Wall, and the ones with Cersei in King’s Landing. Everything else is going to be skipped—especially Dorne.

Yeah for a while it seemed to drag. I’d watch theee episodes and it seemed nothing significant had happened.

Yes.

Season 7 has an argument, too, but I thought 3/7 episodes were very good, and episode 6 is the only one I really thought was subpar.

Season 7 felt like fan fiction. That episode where the merry band of misfits go north is legit terrible

That picture keeps making me laugh. It was posted for some other show originally, right?

Agree. Season 5 definitely was slow for half of it. Maybe even more. Hardhome was episode 8 and I think that is where it really picked up again. You had the battle obviously and also the beginning of Reek becoming Theon and starting his redemption arc.

The whole Dorne thing really dragged it down.

It was bad. They all seemed like caricatures of themselves.

Then there's the whole Winterfell storyline.

Nothing that anybody was doing made any fricking sense.
