Decent Movie but it did drag a bit, my wife and I both dozed off a couple of times. 20 minutes shorter it would have been much better.

there was a lot of shitty CGI and the fights weren't done well
The backgrounds during the first fight with the Amazons vs Germans were terrible. When they jumped off the cliff, I laughed.

Underneath the hype is a good, not great, movie that is probably worth seeing at least after it's out of theaters.

100%

it's not bad

it's just nowhere near great

Robert Downey aka IronMan.

And Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. Hard to top these 2.

Possibly Reynolds but there's a difference between nailing the character and making the character your own. RDJ turned Iron Man into RDJ. Which is entertaining as hell to see in a movie, but it's still RDJ.

Surprised that no one has said Samuel L, since he was precast in Ultimates before he was approached to be in Iron Man.

in the final fight i kept thinking "many you usually see CGI-based fights at night b/c it hides the CGI but this one looks terrible"

i kept thinking about the hangar fight in Civil War and how much better it looked...during the day

See I put Cap 1 and 2 on GotG level.

I still won't relent on the opinion that Cap 1 is an A+ origin movie, it works so well as a reflection of the character, maybe more than any other superhero origin film.

Good thread, heading to see it this weekend as well.

I don't think RDJ turned Ironman into himself. Stark was a hard partying, rebel, genius boy that believed in marching to the beat of his own drummer. And Downey Jr played that perfectly, now he added his brand of humor to Tony Stark, but Stark was funny as well in the comics.

It was a Marvel movie, but with a DC character.

Fail. No Infinity Stone and no corporate doppelganger villain. Not Marvel.

It's good...not great. I heard somewhere that it's the greatest Marvel movie the DCEU has made. It's kinda true. It's a little Captain America First Avenger sprinkled with some Thor. Doesn't mean it's a bad movie, because it's not, it's very good...just not great.

Calling someone out like this is "fishing for street cred". It was a funny. I laughed. Get over it.

I actually didn't totally hate the fighting thanks to the choreography. It was the set pieces that I thought were done poorly.

The action in the middle was by far the best. Her fight with the big bad in the end was just kinda blah. But like I said, because there was a lot of charm in the other parts of the movie you can generally get over that kind of stuff.

It's just a good mix and the best casting of a superhero since Christopher Reeve.

I thought both villains were incredibly lame and predictable. For me, her greatest villain was the war as a whole. That's where the story should have stayed, that's where it was finally different from every other comic book movie. Her hatred for the war and suffering of people was grounded and beautiful in it's own way.....then came the lame villians.

As for your comment as her being the perfect casting I have to highly disagree. She didn't do anything to hurt the movie but she didn't do anything to help it either. There were times here acting was flat, that's just a fact. Yes she is beautiful....very beautiful. I think someone else could have owned that role where she kinda just went with it.

It's decent. CGI and actions scenes weren't great but it had enough humor and emotion to make it above average superhero movie. Not approaching top 5 superhero movies but I enjoyed it.

It's not at all a "I am woman, hear me roar" movie. It's a very solid movie about Wonder Woman. I actually loved it and might go as far as to say it's my favorite super hero movie out of all of them.
