Is The Office more popular now than it was in it's last few seasons?

The thread below about the underrated moments got 16 pages. You see memes everywhere. It's arguably the most binge-able show on Netflix and people brag about how many times they have watched the entire season.

Hard to gauge it but I would almost say it is.

it helps that i can watch 2-3 episodes every day after work on comedy central.

it's fricking clutch when seasons 2/3/4 come back around every few weeks or so.

I just recently got into it the last couple years. But, it seems like a show that would be better binged vs week to week.

That’s how it became popular the first time. The series took off when people discovered it on iTunes and were able to watch it on their iPods and such.

"The Merger" was the first and only video I bought for my 5th generation iPod

ETA: scratch that, I think I also had one of the "Best of Will Ferrell" SNL episodes, too.

Still one of the most overrated sitcoms that isn't on CBS (looking at you Big Bang Theory). That cringey style humor just isn't my thing. I'm a much bigger Community fan.

I'm still conflicted about whether or not I want to see a revival of the show. I know it will likely be a disappointment yet will have its moments. Mostly I think they should leave it alone but that won't prevent me from watching whatever they end up putting together.

and no this pic isn't any official announcement of a reboot.

If you've ever worked in an office then you'll recognize the brilliance of this show.

I’m not opposed to having a reunion show once in awhile. Basically a new episode with the entire cast and act like it was in the middle of a regular season. Not a “where are they now” type deal because the finale was perfect.

I think I got to the 6th or 7th episode and finally stopped watching after not laughing once. I may give it another try sometime.

It had middling success when it launched. I’m not saying it was on its way to being cancelled but it wasn’t a ratings hit either. When people started downloading it on iTunes is when the show got a lot of traction.

I'd watch a reboot only if it was a prequel series like Better Call Saul, but with Michael Scott and Todd Packer played by the same actors and Michael is just a regular salesman.

I still regularly rewatch episodes from seasons 1-5. Nothing after. Those first five seasons are in Seinfeld rewatchability territory.

Netflix definitely has something to do with it's rise. You could also say the same for Parks & Recs.

Probably so, as someone in collage who liked it at first I have grown to hate it now because of how cool it is to like that show and people quote it all the freaking time. It has become insufferable how often people just recycle office jokes.
