Loved it when I saw it

Loved it when I rewatched it

Sci-fi needs that say it defies physics are usually the only ones that hate it

add two words to your subject line or they will anchor the thread.

I only ever saw it once. I need to watch it again.
Same with Inception and The Presitige. Like all three, just never watched again.

SciFi nerds love that movie .... physics nerds, on the other hand, LULZ at the science behind the movie that was touted as accurate before it was released. We held out a lot of hope for the movie because accurate science is doable in the major motion picture medium but the writers, producers and directors are either too lazy or too ignorant to get it right.

The hypocrisy of the movie, what set off most who know even a little about the science of time travel and/or space travel over interstellar distances ... when they choose to market the movie as accurate from a physics standpoint and then put a product out there that was, a good story but, pure unscientific bullshite ... then yeah, physics nerds are going to call them on that.

No. I realized it was crap after one viewing. It was beautiful but the plot was a complete mess.

I don't need to watch it again to think that it is somehow great.

Anything done in Hollywood is sequel-ready. I'm not sure how it might go but I suspect it would have to be a completely different story line given all the problems in the original were solved once he made contact with his daughter and she adjusted her calculations and saved the world.

He may want to travel back to where he's been ... but for what purpose I cannot imagine from a purely scientific point of view.

I mean the science went so far off the rail in the first movie, and they were called on it so viscerally by the science community, I'm not sure how they would go about correcting that.

You gotta remember, the producers and directors financed a two hour long promoted special on The Science Channel literally titled, "The Science Behind Interstellar" and they duped movie goers into going based upon bad science.

That's just such a no no.

Is like magic Shawshank. One of the best movies of the 2000's. It's Saturday afternoon comfort food.
