But you won't go spend your money on a movie like Three Billboards, then you're just being a hypocrite and I politely ask you to

Going see it this weekend, can't wait.

But too be fair, I enjoy most of my indie films at home and big films in the theater. Nothing wrong with that. Three Billboards is something I'm pumped for so it breaks the rule.

Telling it like it is may not be complaining.

Most new movies are awful, but I agree they still make some good ones here and there.

My point wasn't about the complaining, bc there is a bunch of crap. It was about the people complaining and then not spending the money on the actual good ones.

For whatever reason, people don't like to actually sit in a theater and pay attention for more than 10 minutes. They need something happening to keep them attentive, like a huge explosion or a sex scene.

I've tried to get my gf to watch Hateful 8, Spotlight, The Founder, No Country for Old Men all in the last month or two and we get thirty minutes in and she's asleep or asking me what is going on/going to happen. Granted, she's ADD as frick, but it's still infuriating.

my family of 4 made up half the audience when we saw Justice League on Monday, so there's that.

meh, better series on Netflix and I can watch that at home in my private theater.

make more good movies, less shitty ones and quit fricking me on the price and maybe I'll catch one at a theater. Until then, you can have fun being one of the suckers.

Making a comment based on observation = bitching and complaining (on the Internet).

Not sure why people react so negative to criticism of a subject/topic behind a computer screen. It’s if that’s how they only know how to respond to an opinion different from their own. “Bitching” Criticism can be very useful information. Imagine if we take ratings comments away from amazon or yelp.

I may be part of the problem. I'll go to the theater for the big spectacle films that I feel need a big screen to show off its paces (superhero movies, Dunkirk, etc). For the more intimate films, I don't want to be distracted so I'll Redbox it or dload it to watch it on HDTV at home.

You do realize you can pay $84 and see 1 movie a day for the entire year, right?
