I saw his commercial yesterday and was about to come post the same thing. Lol. I didn’t agree always with Jon Stewart politically but the guy was super talented.

I could care less about politics. That said Noah’s whole bashing act is incredibly unfunny. It’s as if- no pun intended- it’s his only trump card.

I watch the office most nights when it is on rotation, which means Trevor Noah commercials. His jokes aren't really that funny, and his delivery of them is even worse. I'm legitimately curious how he has managed to hang on to that job for so long.

and you are right, the Trump stuff was non stop, but his non-trump stuff might be worse.

It's a toss up between him and Samantha Bee. Just awful

They are still all just bashing Trump. The Jimmies, Noah, Colbert are just not funny and just trying to one up the others bash of Trump. I don't even think they realize that Trump is no longer President. They have all lost their funny and their writers are so full of TDS they can't write funny anymore either.

Only one worth a shite is Conan, if you can find his channel and show.

He had a joke in one of those lead in commercials that was....and i swear to god....

"Platypus are weird. God must have just used random parts"

Noah has just never been funny. You couldn't get a more stark contrast in talent going from Jon Stewart to him.

And I assume they use the best of the best for his promos...I have never watched Trevor Noah's daily show but Ive seen a lot of these promos and have never had a hint of amusement at any of them.

His cadence, delivery, and accent are all boring

I can absolutely flip the switch and block out politics. That dude is not funny. Not one bit

I feel like at some point he had to have shown that he could be funny. And I know comedians in that part of the world (Australia, New Zealand, etc) really grind out new material. They all try to put out a new hour every year.

I feel like some of these guys have censored themselves into being unable to make a funny joke about anything. They've beaten themselves down by self-censoring to not offend this group or that group to the point that they really don't know how to be funny anymore.

Bill Burr doesn't have that issue.

I think you’ve stumbled upon what’s wrong. Comedians, in particular Millennial comedians, and as we go forward, Zoomer comedians, have no “edge” to them. Everything is boringly milqtoast.

With Jon Stewart, he got 8 years of good material out of George Bush and other cultural aspects of the 2000s.

One of my favorite gags of the Stewart was to claim every acronym stood for “NAMBLA.”

quote:

While covering the 2004 Republican National Convention, Stephen Colbert was asked who he was representing and quickly answered, "Oh, I'm with NAMBLA." Unaware of the context, she replied, "Well, have fun tonight." - Wikipedia

Probably can’t make that joke in the post-MeToo period.

If ever someone needed to be Jay Leno'd it's him. Please take the job back Jon Stewart.
