A genie tells you that she will change history and make it to where you were an actor in one movie. You can pick any movie, for whatever reason. You make the money that actor made and gained the commensurate level of exposure and fame. If they won an Oscar, you'd win an Oscar. However, after being in that movie, you could do whatever you like, but you couldn't keep acting. So no signing up for Harry Potter, unless you just wanted to be in the first movie before being replaced.

What role in what movie do you choose? Why?

RDJ in Iron Man.

That gives me 3 stand alone movies, and the collaborative avengers movies and a sweet contract. After that I quit acting for good and buy my own island and live in peace with zero fs given about the world.

Edit: misread the scenario. After reading the Harry Potter quip I took it as being no because none of us are 12. Would go with the highest paid single performance which I think is Keanu in the 3rd Matrix or I’ve seen RDJ made a shitload for the iron man movies so one of those could have been higher.

In this hypo do we get say so in how our contract is structured and extra benefits are negotiated or do we have to take the he exact deal they had? Like say I wanted to play Chris Pratt or Chris Evans’ roles for one of their early movies in the MCU but I was willing to cut my salary for x% of the box office and some royalties from merchandise, blu-ray sells, digital downloads, and television/streaming revenue.

If we can only do one role, I’d wanna make as much cheese as possible. So if we can’t negotiate the contract, the best choice would whatever movie someone was in that’s the perfect combo of fun and memorable role, salary payday, plus post-production long term incentives and payouts.

If there’s no possibility of it leading to any future movie roles, then the right answer has to be the highest paid single acting performance. So I’ll go with Keanu in Matrix Reloaded and walk away content with a cool 126 million in the bank.

Darth Vader and I negotiate a very equity-based contract. 15% of all SW royalties sounds about right.

Tom Hanks - Forrest Gump. Critical acclaim, Oscar, plus he got profit sharing and made about $65million for the film.

That's a no brainer:

James Bond (Sean Connery Versions). Thunderball probably had the best assortment of hot babes.

Yeah the answer would have to be something like this.

Jack Nicholson's Batman deal sounds pretty sweet too. He got like $6 million plus a cut of the box office and merch sales. Some estimate he made upwards of $90 million for it. He also got to shoot basically on his own schedule and whatever the frick he wanted on set.

If I'm just experiencing the actions of acting in a movie, make me motherfricking Luke Skywalker in Empire Strikes Back.

Lightsaber dueling
Flying an X-wing
Making out with Carrie Fisher

You csnt restructure. You get the deal they got. You get the awards they got.

The reason for jo acting again is because the answer becomes an automatic Harry Potter or Avengers answer.

I'm shocked no one is taking the Oscar performances.

Bruce Willis- 6th Sense

Got paid 100 million for it. I’m not interested in fame or an award, just cash.

Because most people don’t give a damn about the awards.

Is that true though? Hollywood Accounting makes me believe there's no way it was that much.

This was my first thought.

Smashing prime Halle Berry and getting paid a few million to do so? Sign me the frick up!

Then I thought about all the massive straight cash deals.

Will Smith got $100 mil for MIB3. I’d go with that because filming that movie was likely both fun and easy. And near me a lot of IG hoes.
