Anyone know?

I would imagine it's a flat fee for a set time.

Curious since it has made 223mm so far.

They paid WB for a bunch of movies I think. shite like Godzilla vs Kong, Suicide Squad, Dune etc. I'm not sure about all them but i am enjoying the movies they've put on there

some have been good. some have been pretty terrible. i think it started w/ WW84.

i don't know how much of the mindset of "this is on a small screen" plays into it, but i've liked a few of the HBO straight releases but most of them i've been very meh on.

Little Things, GvK, Reminiscence, Those who wish me dead, and Mortal Kombat were all a little disappointing. not terrible, but let downs.

Tom and Jerry, WW84, Space Jam, and Cry Macho were terrible.

I've been googling it.... Plenty talk about what it's made at the box office... None that I've found state what HBO paid.

I also checked the top 5 links. None state what HBO paid.

Gotcha. That might be why there is no stated amount just for dune. It was a package of movies.

I'll try search for that

It’s all one company. HBO Max could pay Warner Distribution a billion, it all stays in-house.

Right, they aren't trying to sell movies to HBO, they are trying to sell subscriptions to HBOMax.

They are the same company. WarnerMedia owns Warner Bros and HBO.

AT&T owns WarnerMedia (for now).

HBO Max might be branded as “HBO” but the integration of all the other Warner properties is really what makes it different from the old HBO Go.

Lets go down here and do a little wiki for fun

HBO is owned by Warner Media. That like saying Disney+ paid for a bunch of Pixar and Marvel movies.
