I used to use Netflix by mail blue ray service, but got rid of it year's ago when they decided to split their service between that and streaming. I haven't watched a relatively newer movies in years

Wasn’t that like 10 years ago they did that? You haven’t watched movies since then?

It hasn't been that long ago. Probably like three years or so. My playstation also got struck by lightning two years ago so that played a factor as well. I was using that to watch blue rays.

I still use the old dvds and blu ray from Netflix because a lot of the movies I want to watch are not available by stream. I do stream movies but the vast majority of the one I watch are disc.

Dropped Netflix last year.

Bought 2 DVDs for the 1st time in like 10 years.

Mostly watch stuff on Amazon. Or OnDemand. Lotta stuff I never saw in the theatres before that are now free.

My wife and I had a similar conversation the other day. Where do you ‘rent’ new releases now a days. It seems like theyre scattered through all the streaming services, but I just want to rent a damn movie not subscribe to 10 different prescriptions trying to find it.

Watch on big screen tv, ROKU, alternate/rotate streaming apps for mostly movies...Netflix, Peacock, Sling, Hulu, currently Criterion and Sling, looking forward soon to HBO Max.

If there's a relatively new movie I want that's not streaming with a service I'll rent it for 48 hrs with Youtube movie rentals, and btw Youtube has by far the largest movie rental library for streaming.

And fwiw, none of us are taking full advantage of newer TV technology by only streaming movies, as Blu-Ray discs offer higher quality image and sound.
