It’s really damn addictive. I had to make myself stop last night, or I would have finished it. It has a Soderbergh paranoia feel to it. I’m through 7 of 10, and I’m really digging it. Hopefully it closes strong. Also, episodes are only 30 minutes, though I wish they were longer. Solid performances across the board, and really entertaining.

quote:

Homecoming follows Heidi Bergman "a caseworker at Homecoming, a Geist Group facility helping soldiers transition to civilian life. Years later she has started a new life, living with her mother and working as a waitress, when a Department of Defense auditor questions why she left the Homecoming facility. Heidi quickly realizes that there’s a whole other story behind the story she’s been telling herself."

I saw the promos last week and have been looking forward to it. Will probably start tonight. I watched Heathers, the TV Show on Paramount on demand last night. It was great. Very witty, creepy, and had a kind of Twin Peaks vibe.

This is definitely good to hear. I planned on watching it at some point. Glad they finally released it.

I find the 30 minutes goes by really quick. Leaves you wanting more. Finished the whole thing in one night. the 6.7 on IMDb doesn't do it justice.

Yeah same here. I had to force myself to stop just so I could enjoy it for at least one more night.

Is the 6.7 on IMDb an audience score? I know metacritic has it at an 83, which is very good. And a 98 on RT.

Just saw a promo for it during the LSU game. Can't tell wtf this show is about, but it looks interesting.

Yeah I feel like the trailers & promos have been intentionally vague, and I just jumped right in without knowing anything. Best way to do it imo.

Promo was weird. Which is why I don't want to know before I watch.

All I got was Dollhouse or Coma or some MKultra vibe.

I'm thru 6 episodes and am wrong for still waiting for something to happen? The characters are good and I get the flashbacks etc...but what is the point of the show. Will anything get cleared up in the 4 remaining episodes?

Yes you get answers. I feel like you’re right around the point in the show where elements start to get revealed. Now, if you find those revelations worth it or not is up to you, but I just finished the show and really enjoyed everything!

Also, read an article that they are currently writing season 2. Wasn’t sure if this was going to just be a one off or not.

Just finished the podcast about a week ago and thought it was great. Going to start the show tonight. May be weird not hearing David Shwimmer's voice as Colin Belfast haha.

i haven't listened to the podcast so i went in to the show not having any sort of opinions about characters. so i'd be interested to see what podcast listeners think of the show after watching. i will say bobby cannavale as Colin is great. My favorite character, hands down, was Shea Whigam as Thomas Carrasco. Also, thought the kid that plays Walter Cruz was great too. Honestly, there wasn't a bad performance from anyone.

I watched it all last night and this morning after reading this thread. Good cast, watchable, but disappointing in my opinion. I expected more of a jolt from the reveal of what was going on with the treatment. Shrier’s suspicion of what they were being prepped for would have been a much better story. Given Sam Esmail’s involvement, I was expecting a much bigger boom.
