Seems like a legit library. I have an LG smart tv, and they don't have an app for it, so I have to chromecast from my phone. Not too big of a deal. Wish they had an LG app, but HBO has some deal with Samsung from what I've read.

They need to hurry up and get this deal done with Amazon. I need my Whose Line Is It Anyway as background noise

Hulu is on my shite list. Why they put the cursor line on top of the text instead of below it is beyond me

That screwed me up for 1-2 days and then again every now and then. The wife just gets pissed at it and goes to the "my stuff" section to watch her reruns.

Not being available on Roku or Amazon (two of the largest streaming platforms) is a crock of shite

I don't have it now, but plan to get it soon. While looking around at the apps, I thought I saw it as an app through prime. I did not look to see if it was on my firestick, roku, or tv because I just assumed and I haven't' signed up yet.

I also saw there is a package through hulu where you can add it to your account through a premium add-on. Anyone know if it will link through your hulu account, in other words you can get your hulu, hbo, Disney+ & espn+ through the same app?

I don't have the Disney package yet, was holding out until college baseball season since that was the only reason I wanted espn+ at the time.

I already have HBO so I’m using Max to watch Doom Patrol, which is really enjoyable so far.

Was it easy to register for it that way?

It depends on your cable provider. When you download the HBO Max app or go to the hbomax.com site, one of the options is to sign in using your cable provider. If your provider is listed you just click for approval.

I just found out that HBO subscriptions with some cable companies will carry over to HBO Max as well, but Comcast is not one of those companies. I'll be cancelling Comcast HBO to sign up for HBO max

It's included w/ Comcast. Just signed up myself.

It comes included with my ATT internet, so I'll do it.

I just logged in to my ATT internet bill and saw that it was included free of charge. So yeah, I'm on it and it has a ton of content.

Including all of fresh Prince.

TCM hub. Tons of classic movies.

My interest has just been piqued. The biggest issue with streaming services is that they are starved of Classics.

So, I'm billed with RokuPlay and currently pay for HBO NOW. So am I essentially screwed out of the additional content until they strike a deal?

I saw where they still do not have apps for Roku and Amazon yet, is that right?

Correct, but I read the app would be up within hours of a deal being completed. So it's just the financial side right now

I think that almost a third of the 1600+ films are from the TCM portion. Now that includes semi-modern films like What About Bob and Casino Royale (2006), but the bulk of the TCM library is filled with classic movies.

Sounds like ATT wants to go head to head against them now. Such a dumb move on their part.

quote:

AT&T (T -1.5%) is famously unconcerned about launching its high-stakes HBO Max streaming service without distribution on Roku (ROKU -0.3%) and Amazon Fire TV (AMZN +0.5%) - exemplified by incoming CEO John Stankey: "We must be doing something right if somebody believes we are now starting to be more in conflict with their business, so I don't necessarily take that as a bad sign."
