re: Hawkeye (Disney+) Trailer
There are rumors everywhere that Vincent D'Onofrio will reprise his role as Wilson Fisk in this series and it will tie in to the Echo series (Echo is in this).

"And I've got a bow and arrow" in AoU is the only funny line I can think of in all his screentime.

Watched Ultron last night and I think Renner did a better job with Whedon's forced gags than most.

Ultron saying, "Thor, you're bothering me." still makes me grit my teeth.

Vincent D'Onofrio coming back as Kingpin would be fantastic. He was perfect in that role.

Until this moment I had no idea they were doing a "web series" about Echo. I hate web series, so...great?

Molotov discussion / one man's take:

quote:

Bob Kinch, former Army Winter Warfare Instructor for 35 years (1978-2016)

My Regiment trained in using Molotov Cocktails (I wasn’t the Range Safety Officer on that one)
The problem we had, was getting them to go off.

As I recall, we lit the fuse 2 ways.. We stuffed the rag down the open end of the bottle.
2. We tied the rag around the bottle with the cap in it.

2 worked better than 1.
The hard part was getting the bottle to break. Rarely, but it did happen, the burning rag would land and bounce away from where the bottle contents were. In which case we had to wait and hopefully the fluid would get to the rag before the rag burnt out.

Murphy’s law, if you drop it in your kitchen it will smash like a dream. Throw it onto pavement and it bounces but doesn’t break.

In the movies, they work like a charm. In reality, there is a bit of science and physics. I mean you CAN just do the liquid in the bottle and light the wick, but if you want to fight tanks with them, (and really that stopped when they started making tanks for driving through Nuclear wastelands.) there are several tricks you need to know.

Looks fun, but I must admit when I hear Hawkeye, I think of Last of the Mohicans or Mash....

+1000

Hawkeye's back story was really interesting. He first appeared as a nemesis to Iron Man in Tales to Astonish. I think it was number 37 or 47 in 1964.

For a good long while, The Avengers consisted of Cap and three former villains. Lee was restricted to publishing a set number of titles, and wanted to use the Avengers comic to showcase characters that didn't have titles of their own.

re: Hawkeye (Disney+) Trailer
Yes, that is correct.

Glad they're doing this movie on him. I just wish they would have touched on his origin. He was an orphan that had ran away from the place he stayed and joined a traveling circus. From their he became a marksman.
