So ever since the Woke cancelled Dr Seuss, I realize that I need to go on a DVD buying spree. So started trying think as crazy as I possibly could on movies that could be cancelled for any ridiculous reason I could come up with and got up to 32.

Boy was I utterly short on what and should be cancelled. This article Seven films that should be cancelled is not sarcasm. He says that Love Actually, Love Actually is too offensive and must be destroyed. Listen I don’t like Love Actually since it’s boring, sappy, and just 15 side plots sloppily edited together, but it didn’t do anything. Also on there are Avatar, Aladdin, and every single cop movie because ACAB

It’s lunatics like this that are now running the asylum. Order your DVDs to movies you love as quickly. Here was the list I’ve accrued so far, but it’s probably not even close to the length it to be. Feel free to add yours because no reason is too ridiculous for these tyrannical despots.

Gone with the Wind
Dumbo
Tropic Thunder
Aristocats
Peter Pan
Lady and the Tramp
WALL-E
Mary Poppins (some idiot will accuse Dick Van Dyke of blackface)
Blazing Saddles
The Producers
Animal House
Mr Mom
Gremlins 1 & 2
Airplane!
Team America: World Police
Any John Wayne movie
Rocky Horror Picture Show
The Little Mermaid
Breakfast at Tiffany’s
Gangs of New York
Every Quentin Tarantino movie
Zoolander
Big Trouble in Little China
Ace Ventura: Pet Detective
Silence of the Lambs
Idiocracy
Early Tarzan films
V for Vendetta
Taxi Driver
Joker
Porky’s
Revenge of the Nerds (this one if released today would create the most outrage of all of them, even worse than Song of the South)
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

EDIT: Fell for the article, and I’ll own up to it. But truth is no stranger than fiction these days.

So, reward the Seuss Foundation’s decision by going out and buying more of their books...and buying more DVDs from studios that make similar decisions?

Aren't DVDs just the beta version of Blu-rays.

Well, I fell for it, but it’s pretty hard to tell the difference these days. If you told me last week “If I Ran the Zoo” was racist and would be cancelled, I would say yeah right.

I don't think so, Tim.

However, not only does Ace go on to ‘out’ the villainous Einhorn/Finkle, as well as asserting the intensely problematic need for a trans person to ‘pass’ for the sex to which they’ve changed, he then goes on to regret having kissed Einhorn. It’s nothing but a kick in the teeth to the trans community.

It’s just the world has gone fully crazy. After this last year almost nothing surprises me anymore. That being said outside of that article, I stand by you should buy the DVDs to movies you love that are even slightly controversial.

[raises hand]

One more question: if you didn’t own these movies before (streaming only being a thing for 10 years now), do you really even want to watch these movies, or are you just knee-jerk reacting to something you wouldn’t have otherwise care about?
