EXCLUSIVE: I’m hearing that Gore Verbinski is making a deal to direct Gambit at Fox. The X-Men spinoff has been a high priority at the studio, sinceChanning Tatum stepped up to star in the film as Remy LeBeau, the suave mutant from New Orleans who can turn objects into projectiles. That includes a deck of cards

All I pray for is it to be a little like the 90s cartoon.
Gambit is a joke of a comic character but his demeanor and flirting with rogue is great.
I hope it goes more deadpool/21 jump street reboot of not taking itself too seriously.

You read my mind. He was my favorite character from the cartoon.

Agreed, Gambit has always been on my favorites and unfortunately one of the most underutilized in the film series. Tatum is best in his more comedic roles so hopefully they bring some of that playfulness to the character in this one.

It's not projectiles, he just uses cards cuz they're light and easy to juice up, he changes inanimate objects from stored energy to kinetic which makes them go boom.

To my angry dome!
