They're going to create their own monster to fight Godzilla. Possibly Gamera, who is really neat and made out of turtle meat.

The other reports are extremely positive. One reporter said that the first scene brought her to tears.

I watched the first minute of the trailer and am avoiding anything else about it now. That first minute and the buzz is enough for me to have decided I'm stoked and going to see it.

Godzilla is just the first through the portal and they build big arse Jaegers to battle Godzilla with. This will be the prequel to Pacific Rim.
