It was a fun whodunit. I enjoyed it. This is RJ’s wheelhouse. The fricker never should have been given a mega franchise but he’s fantastic at these smaller indie style ventures.

Also. Madeline Cline. Not a single damn reason to pull out.

We just finished it, fantastic.

Not as good as the first but that was expected.

I hope Johnson makes these every few years or so.

Also Whiskey

First one was far better IMHO - way too contrived - first one flowed much better

Really enjoyed this one. Still prefer Knives Out but this one nearly made me change my mind…

Until that third act. Or really right up until the burning of the napkin. Everything after that I wasn’t a huge fan of. Ryan’s message intervened and took me out. It was a little more subtle in Knives Out. This time he let it take over the story and characters. It didn’t seem like a thing any of the characters would do, any of them. Outside of that, I really enjoyed it.

Maybe my biggest problem with it was that Norton was revealed to be such an absolute clown at the end, hinted at throughout, that I found it hard to believe that an incredible woman like Andi would have been so blinded to his absurdity, even as a younger college student.

Yeah I wish the expounded upon how that clown made the money to become the bank roll everyone else?

Without money Norton has no power over these people and they clearly showed them all as poor college kids when they met. How did the only guy without an actual talent get the money?

Finally saw this movie and while I thought the first one was better, this one was excellent too. Figured Edward Norton's character was the one who did everything.

Janelle Monáe was excellent.

Daniel Craig's accent is funny but you can tell he enjoys playing his character too.

And it seemed like Rian kind of made some funny jabs about Covid in the beginning too. He made us think it might be a decent part throughout the movie and he basically said frick that. Thought that was funny.

And also I didn't think this movie was very woke until a few of yall brought it up. I don't tend to get that out of a lot of movies, but I guess that's just me.

And Whiskey.

The James Bong guy’s acting is horrific.

Forget everything about the movie.

Every scene he’s in is ruined by the most aggressive over acting I’ve ever seen. From his accent to the facial expressions he makes with them at ALL times.

It’s the worst acting I’ve ever observed.

Considering you have some extremely shitty takes on sports, doesn't surprise me at all that you have shitty takes on movies/acting too.

Well maybe that's what your life looks like, but mine does not. Over half of upper management at my company are women and they come in all shapes and colors. In the past, there have been a few gay people as well. You are most certainly in a bubble.

It’s literally set mid-pandemic.

I don't work in oil and gas in Louisiana, you responded to me by mistake. You want GeauxTiger some number, not me. What would I know about sassy black women?

Catastrophizing much?

I think the first Knives Out struck me as surprising but in no way as bad acting. However, I was interested if he could pull off and recreate the same character again. DC deserves a lot of credit for creating such a quirky persona.

Basically what happened is that we got a flawed but enjoyable movie that most people seemed to like.

Then Drinker released a review where he basically said he hated it.

So now you have a bunch of people scrambling on here proclaiming how much they hated it.

I finally finished watching this last night.

Overall, it was fairly meh. But mainly because of the ending. That being said, it was entertaining and I'd still check out a third installment.

This one just fell a little too try-hard for me, and a lot of stuff felt super forced as opposed to things happening and progressing naturally. It's nowhere as good, or as charming, as the first one. I'm glad I watched it, but I likely won't ever feel the need to see it again, if that makes sense.
