We’re getting a clearer picture of what Vince Gilligan’s Breaking Bad movie will look like.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the feature-length film will pick up where the series left off, with a story centered around Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) immediately following his escape from the white supremacists’ compound at the end of season five.

Breaking Bad creator Gilligan wrote and directed the film himself. Production is believed to be wrapping up this month in New Mexico.

Once completed, the film will initially premiere on Netflix, which has acquired its first-run rights, THR reports. It will subsequently air on AMC — the home to Breaking Bad during its five-season TV run. A release date has not yet been set.

I will trust that this is going to be good, but I really didn’t have much interest in what happened to Jessie after BB.

I wouldn't think that Jessie could carry a movie himself, but I trust Gilligan implicitly with the Breaking Bad universe, especially since he's writing and directing.

My memory of every little detail of the final season has faded but wouldn't he pretty much be skyrocketing to the top of the FBI's most wanted list?

I kinda don't like this, as I think BB ended perfectly. The only real big question unanswered that people might want the answer to is what happens to jesse, but I don't think it's that much of an issue to where we NEED resolution.

With that said, at this point in time I don't see how anyone couldn't trust Vince and I'm sure it will be absolutely lights out, and obviously I'll watch it.

I think waiting the time he did and doing it in a movie setting is a good way to let the show stand on its own and have the movie be more of an endnote.

They should do a story arc with Walter Jr.

The nazi group that Walt murdered at the end is seeking blood revenge and targets Walter Jr. who received a full scholarship to University of New Mexico. Ted Beneke tries to play hero and defend Walter Jr. when the survivng remnants of Jack's gang try to approach Walter Jr. at the Pit after a UNM basketball game but is whacked and Skylar has to turn to Jesse, Badger and Skinny Pete for help.

"I don't associate myself with that anymore" says Jesse. Badger views this as his opportunity who plays a role similar to Liam Neeson in Taken 2.

Jesse got worse as the show went on. I would rather see a movie about Badger and Skinny Pete or Kuby and Huell.

I actually agree with this. I liked his character early because he was cocky, arrogant and didn't give a frick.

Once he started caring he became a waffler, should I stay or should I go type. I liked Walt because Walt was all in. Jesse was never all in once he started cooking for Gus.

I can see why some wouldn't like this, but it was kind of needed in the world of BB as being a "good guy" that people can root for. I mean I think most of us were "rooting" for Walt who was all around a despicable human being. Jesse had that "drug dealing punk develops morals and tries to do the right thing" story arc that is generally well received.

Vince ended BB perfectly. I didn't particularly care what was in Jesse's future. But Vince did a great job with the show and I am sure he will do the same with this new movie so I will probably watch it.

I have seen a few seasons but then stopped watching. I know some people who continue to watch it and tell me its still good. Ive had a few folks tell me they dont think Walter and Jesse will be seen in BCS by the way the showing is going.

The only thing I really know is that everybody is in it. All the way from Walt to the vacuum repair guy.

My question is, do they weave the Gene timeline and this movie together in someway?

I think they do just based on the timing of everything. They could do Jessie's story anytime. Why make this movie now when they are already busy with BCS. This makes me think it's vital to BCS and the Gene timeline.
