Those things had to be CGI...looking at Instagram they don’t seem that well shaped.

He did pretty well last season during the fight on the rock in the middle of the lake.

Higher level thinkers immediately respect and enjoy this episode for the meaning behind it.

It was all laughs, then the crying begins.

Dany definitely is dying...she's wearing red, isn't that the tell?

I don’t think she’s dying. I keep seeing this but this war has been the biggest storyline for this final season so far and I don’t buy that either.

The name of the show is Game of Thrones. Who ends up on the Iron Throne. I think the final scene it showed Danys true colors. She has zero intention in giving up her goals and the show has to move past the war to the end game, which is who’s going to sit on the throne?

There’s a lot more to cull through; IMO. Like with episode 1, I think the reveal to whom it matters that Jon is the rightful heir has been the biggest and the most important storyline going on here.

Plot twist is that killing the night king doesn't stop the entire army

I would laugh out loud if that were the case.

I can’t wait until next episode when they tease the battle of winterfell for an hour and cut to black right as it starts.

I too was surprised that King’s Landing wasn’t in this episode. We won’t see her again until E4 (since next episode’s entirety will be focusing on the BoW).

Season seven. Beric says kill him, they all fall, at the frozen lake.

Today, they repeat that message. Someone does asks for clarity or assurance:

This is the rolling theory until proven otherwise.

Lay off the Pinot dork. I love this show. But acting like this episode was one of the best and most well written episodes of the entire series is frickin retarded.

It was. It was a very well done non-event episode.

This series is filled with setup episodes and people just forget that for some reason. Hell a whole battle early on was supposed of take place on screen and Tyrion gets knocked out and we don’t even see it.

People like you can never be happy about anything. Just relax. Enjoy the show. Quit waiting for the next big thing to happen.

Back to my Bran and Tyrion thought, my coworker just reminded me Tyrion believes they’ll all survive.

Maybe Bran told him some things.

Fantastic ep. very well writttn.

Compare this episode to the battle of black water, and Cersei, preparing to murder her family, if necessary. That had drama. That was interesting.

This was, unfortunately, a filler episode that often veered into the cringe worthy.

Jaime pledging to serve under Brianne, Sansa and Dani’s girl power moment, the fireside reunion. The last is a good example of the problems on this episode. They spent the bulk of the film on procedural reunions that do not advance the story.

Let’s have the Mormonts talk. Let’s have Arya and the Hound have a moment. Let’s have Bran explain why he didn’t rat out Jaime.

The last is a good example of the mistakes they’ve been making over the last few seasons.

It is an elemental lesson in writing. It’s something taught in grade school.

Show, don’t tell.

They didn’t need to have Bran tell Jaime why. His line, what we do for love, and his subsequent silence in the trial is self explanatory.

Having Bran explain himself is unnecessary. It’s just wasted film, and you put the story on pause, just to make sure the audience understands something which was already patentedly obvious.

This is not subtle or good writing.

One of the great things about the battle of black water is how they use these quiet scenes to build tension. To build up to the battle. This episode does the opposite. These chats reduce tension.

Only three scenes in this episode really matter. Jaimes entrance, Tormunds arrival, and the crypt sequence.

The rest are cutting room material.

So the show is above reproach now? Not allowed to post in the thread unless we think it’s the greatest thing ever?

Don’t think anyone could know. It’s the assumption, because when you kill a wight, all the ones he turned die immediately.

Also, I though Jon said if they kill the NK, it would give them a chance......

Episode 3 opens with the army of the dead standing still outside of Winterfell. They stare at each other for 99% of the episode and then finally the dead decide to march right around and past Winterfell. Roll credits
