It's a pretty good wrap up, they say a lot of what is said here.
The battle of Winterfell was the best one.
Bravo Syfy for putting it content on another channels content.

Just started rewatching the series from the beginning to get a feel of just how far this series has gone into Hades/Sheol and it has not disappointed.
Season 1....is here
Season 8....down here.
It's that drastic of a fall.
There hasn't been a fall as steep since the last hobo jumped from the Golden State bridge.
And if you don't know that metaphor you can join him.

Everything that made this show so intriguing died seasons ago.
It is Stark how different it is.

It's like Star Wars, imo.
Started off great, almost a chore to finish.

What I've gathered, albeit slowly over the last few seasons, is that D&D have great talent at production and executing scenes that fit the narrative and writing. The people involved with coordinating every sequence of the books did a fabulous incredible job through the early to mid seasons.
Then, after they ran out of source material they were forced to do something out of their realm and it robbed of what made it great.
So, we have a version now that is rushed and failed to deliver.
I do believe a lot of blame falls at the feet GRRM for, whatever the reason, not finishing the books. The real fall guy should be GRRM and not D&D.
JMO.
