X files never appealed to me.

It's alright, I'm actually more of a serialized show guy myself.. but x files is probably the best procedurals I've ever watched.

That being said, it was a joke of course, cause Fox Mulder takes his chance to jack off to x files in every one of Fringe threads.

Oh yeah.. seasons:

5
3 -
2 - 2 and 3 are extremely close, but the last 5 episodes of 3 put it ahead of 2 in my opinion.

4 is still very very good television.. but the "last episodes" of the season didn't really pull a season 1-3.. and the beginning of the season had certain things about it that.. well.. can be polarizing. While season 4 was good, still some of the best TV ever made.. it just can't keep on par with seasons 2,3 and 5, it just can't, for a few reasons.

Fox is a procedural lover FWIW.. season 1 = more x files like, remember, Fringe originally started off trying to be a procedural show, with extremely small serial overtones. That's the part that fox likes the most.

I don't prefer anything, but I love the chase for the absurd, in both shows, and I like to get some small tastes and answers but fringe overloads you to death

So I'm watching season 4 and Everyone from 2 universes are just sitting around shooting the shite about the 2 universes. It kind of takes the wonder out of it. I guess I like the first 2 seasons the most because you want answers, once you have them, it just kind of takes the zip out of it.

Season 1 is a crime procedural ala a more humorous CSI with a sci-fi twist. It's good, but wasn't absolute must-see tv for me.

I'm halfway through Season 3 and every episode has continued the main story along. It's a personal preference, of course, but in my opinion it is a good deal better than Season 1.
