French Connection Lincoln reassembly question

How plausible is that a Lincoln or any car, could be completely torn apart and re assembled to look like it was untouched? The movie makes it look like this was done in no time flat - is this even feasible over several days??

Answers.com says it would take 15-25 hours. However there is a YT video that says 7 hours

If you don't bother w/the engine it's probably much less time

I suppose it's possible the French director and his translator remained sequestered in the office for 7 plus hours waiting. The car looks like it just rolled off of the showroom floor after being ripped apart.

I freaking love this film - was just curious about the realism of this scene
