Vince Vaughn
Kathryn Newton

Saw it Saturday. Was expecting average and thought it was pretty good.

Got any more information as to what it is about, or you just want to leave us completely in the dark?

It's Freaky Friday meets Friday the 13th. Vince Vaughn plays a serial killer who is stalking Kathryn Newton. They then magically switch bodies and have 24 hours to reverse it before the change becomes permanent.

also directed by the same guy who did happy death day

looks to be the same type of style as those movies

which were actually kind of good imo. they had a silliness to them and the lead of those movies did a pretty good job selling the seriousness/joking parts of it

This is definitely a silly, slightly satirical movie. Very enjoyable for sure. Not groundbreaking but a fun concept.

Can you rate the gore on a 10 scale? 1 being Bambi and 10 being Saw? I'm not a fan of gore but I can handle it to some extent.

Looks like decent idea. Not sure if it wants to be cutesy funny or really dark. Walking a fine line, it seems.

seriously?

It doesn't bother me but there was a whole lot.

SPOILERS

Cameron from Ferris Bueller was chopped in half vertically

dude at the beginning had a broken bottle shoved down his throat with the broken end coming out of his neck.

it was every bit as gory as the original F the 13th and the good sequels.

id give it an 8

on the woke scale id give it a 9.

Christopher Landon directed both the Happy Death Day movies and I liked those. The little bit of the trailer seemed amusing.

I just wish I could buy it now. I'm not renting a movie for $20 when it will cost the same to own a few months later.

Wouldn't mind being in her body for at least 10-15 minutes myself.

I’m of the same tolerance. One thing I really like about Blumhouse is that their movies rarely get super dark or gory (I hate when the pet is killed in a movie and this seems to be a popular occurrence on Netflix stuff now). There are a couple kill scenes that are gory but brief. The vast majority of the movie is fairly light/comical.
