Frasier Revival
Details (foxnews article): LINK

quote:

Grammer also hinted at what the radio host character will be up to in this new phase of his life.

“It’s still his search for love, for one thing. I think that’ll always go on with Frasier. But a connection with his son,” he said.

Could be great, could be a disaster. Based on what we know from the original show:

Niles and Daphne have a few kids in highschool or thereabouts.

Martin has to be dead (actor died)

Frederick should be working. I'd imagine his profession would be a somewhat big part of the plot.

Needless to say, if they were able to pull it off, Frasier Crane would solidify his spot as GOAT of TV characters.

re: Frasier Revival
I actually posted that as an idea In a thread about series revivals We’d like to see happen
LINK

It should be an injured Frasier forced to move in with his son who now manages a bar despite having an elite education.

re: Frasier Revival
Seems like making Frazier’s son blue collar with a wry sense of humor would work to fill the void left by Martin

Frederick is a unemployed hipster living with Frazier.

Meh, i watch the reruns a lot, but you can't have Frasier w/o Martin.

I'll give it a shot

re: Frasier Revival
I adore Frasier and just did a full 11 season rewatch about a year ago. I hate this idea because like most things hollywood-related today it's simply the very definition of unnceccessary. They need to come up with new show ideas instead of trying to breathe life into things that were already successful in the past.

I like the ambiguity of the Frasier finale of him going to find love in a new city. Daphne and Niles are content. Roz is content. Martin is content. Everything wrapped up fine in its own way. We don't fricking need to see some new spinoff about their kids or what they're doing now. In fact now that I think about it this pisses me off.

re: Frasier Revival
In all fairness, they could have made that argument after Cheers too.

Not saying I disagree with you, but there is also a chance they get it right.

While that's true, the Frasier character was still not very developed at that point in time. We knew about his relationship with Lilith but that was about it. At that juncture he still had a whole career, family situation, and love life ahead of him unknown yet to the viewer.

My biggest complaint is the timing, forgive me for saying but everyone is just too old now. Martin is dead, for one. We've seen a frick ton of Frasier's life so all they have left is a new start in a new town, which may be intriguing on teh face of it but again he's a senior citizen now. Daphne and Niles worked because half the show was a will they/won't they kind of thing which now would be gone and nobody wants to see a full series about niles and daphne's kids. Again it's just entirely unnecessary and trying to cash in on the frasier crane name. I hate that.

Frederick is now a millennial who looks down on his father and uncle's foppish and wasteful lifestyles and champions the blue collar, beer drinking "real" retro-lifestyle that was his grandfather.

Fixed.

They could make it kind of dark and show Frasier's final descent into madness.

I watched it sporadically back in the day. Started a full rewatch recently. It is the perfect show to catch an episode right before bed time to wind down. Never realized just how good it was.

re: Frasier Revival
Quick trivia for y'all. By the looks of it some of you will likely remember.

What was Frederick's first word? Bonus, what did lilith think he said?
