Whatever ending we get tonight will you accept it? Obviously we know at least 3 characters shot multiple endings so that could make for an interesting ending depending on which were used.

The episode hasn’t even aired yet and there are reports of D&D already receiving death threats from loyal GOT fans (likely book readers)

Some people have already given up and quit watching after season 6 or 7. Those people might end up being the smartest of all.

Thoughts?

The ending will be the ending. People will have to accept it. Whether they agree with it or not is an entirely different story.

If I’m being honest with myself, probably not.

Prolly not. And it’s mainly because it wasn’t just the fans who let down. It was the entire cast and crew screwed over by the eggheads.

Lol

Do people have another choice other than to accept it?

Well for some people the ending was after season 6 or 7 when they quit watching the show.

Well considering there are death threats circulating I would guess not.

At this point I’m just hoping for it to be something so comically bad that it is at least funny cause there is a 0 percent chance they can do anything to salvage what they have already done in just 80 minutes.

It’s HBO - see Sopranos ending.
It’s Game of Thrones - see season 1 finale and Red Wedding

People should have realistic expectations and not be surprised at stuff they know will happen

Except the books, being books, will have more fleshed out story lines because there’s no rush. That and the book has some main characters/storylines like fAegon that aren’t in the show so ending can’t be quite the same. Also Martin said he told them the ending 5-6 years ago and he doesn’t know what they added or took away from it.

People expect good writing and character arcs that actually go somewhere. Maybe that’s the problem.

I just want it over. I was very unhappy with HK dying, I thought it would be the perfect Game of Thrones ending with the Night King on the Iron Throne.

No idea if it still exists or why I should care any more, but I just don't want Dany to die, if she does she should somehow become the Night Queen.

If only everyone shared the same opinions and had the same definition of “good writing.”

How can you not accept the ending?

No one has to like it, but it IS the end.

Sure. And if we ever get the rest of the books, then I’ll likely go with the ending I like the best. But I doubt we see the end of the book series, so it is what it is.

Yes. It’s only a TV show and it also has to end just like ever other TV show has/will.

Yes, because like it or not it will be GRRM's ending. The debates on whether or not the show have set up the ending properly will be discussed, and many people will probably hate it. But at the end of the day what we will see tonight will be the definitive ending of this series that George chose over 20 years ago when his book was still going to be a trilogy.
